Hola!(= Hello en espanol) It is 2:42 AM.... just came from Double T, after performing @ the Belvedere. I hope everybody enjoyed the "GREEN Experience." I didn't mean no harm... We ...When I say we I mean US all of us who this pertains to...Baltimore...Remain Standing...
Short and sweet… Baltimore Club Music...Some of us Luv it and more of us hate ON it. I went through my little phases. I used to DJ, Use to go to the DOX, then I couldn't stand club music...But, the shit is hot. Ok some is kind-a-crazy to where-as-though I don't want to listen in the car...But one thing about Baltimore Club is that it is BALTIMORE Club!!! It's ours people!!! and can't nobody take it away from us unless we allow them to ...And the saga begins...Chicago got their style of music that's Kind-a-just-like Baltimore Club, I heard that Pharrell- had- said...That he was gonna make a new sound using Baltimore and Miami styles of Music...and have you listened to that new Twista joint, Listen Close....[(hook) Black girlz wanna give it up, yeah....wanna give it up] sounds just like ..."North-n-Long, put 'cha gunz up, pow....put 'cha gunz up..." (Ms. Toni old shit).

With all of the things we claim and don't own...One thing we do have and don't want it. What the fuck is our problem? I hope all of the Baltimore Niggaz that are signed to major labels, as of now, go mega-platinum and Play their hand correctly and what ever needs to be poppin, get it poppin and don't look back.

Niggaz like Aaron Lecrate and Samir (who I don't know personally) are doing their thing with it (Club Music) from what 'm hearing...as well as Rod Lee, Booman, and all of the legends and niggaz that's hot. (Anyone who knows of any situations…That's a whole different story which I don't have all or any of the answers to, don't shoot the blogger, I will shoot back),
I'm sure these individuals are aware that they are sitting on GOLD, The world is waiting to dance and give you their money!!!!

We create the music selfishly, and hope that we (I) reach, touch, or impact someone's life and/or emotions. If the masses happen to not respond, the “power hitters” stare you in the face during your performance as if you were wearing mascara and pearls, but one person decides to make you aware of the connection they received during your display… SCORE!!! And it makes all the difference to a selfish, but generous artist: Selfish in the sense that you really could care less what these niggaz think about you, because you know where you’re headed; But generous in the sense that you care so much and you long for the public’s approval. So be it. Let’s make’em like it/ want it/ hate (on) it/ and gossip.
Back to connections and the one’s you WILL touch. I love triumphant moments, emotional lyrics and artist who embrace these experiences. Two moments in music stand out in my mind at this particular minute. Both moments have been documented as clips (I saw on You Tube). The first one was Kanye West performing “Hey Mama” with his ‘Mama’ on Ellen (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MilSHMhu6a4). Long story short, I cried. The second clip is from a recently added name to my “Favorite Artist” list (along with M.I.A., Corinne Bailey Rae, Andre 3000, amongst a few others), Nikki Jean. This is the young lady on Lupe’s new album, “The Cool,” featured on songs “Hip-Hop Saved My Life,” and “Little Weapon.” Her posts on You Tube are so personal and from a viewer’s stand point, their directed towards “me,” as if She was a long time friend of mine. She goes to purchase multiple copies of “The Cool,” puts the CD in the player, and is overwhelmed to know that people all over the world will hear her words and voice for the first time that day. I understood the feeling, have had the feeling, and I want it back. Therefore, I don’t turn back and travel away from the places I want to be. I’m right around the corner…
These blog posts will begin to be updated more often. From now on, check in weekly to hear from my soul, about my experiences and my interpretations of them.
